Agrible, Inc. recently announced that the company has joined on as an associate member of Field to Market: The Alliance for Sustainable Agriculture. Field to Market is working to unite the agricultural supply chain through the defining, measuring and advancing of sustainable practices in food, fiber and fuel production in the United States.
“We’ve been using our technology to tackle some of the major problems facing global agriculture, like sustainability,” said Agrible CEO Chris Harbourt. “As members of Field to Market, we gain new resources to solve these problems in a science-first and environmentally friendly way.”
The Alliance works in cooperation with grower organizations, academia, conservation groups, public sector partners and leading companies, and the Agrible team will work to help catalyze opportunities for continuous improvement in productivity, environmental quality and human well-being across the agricultural value chain.
In response to the new involvement in the Alliance, Agrible has hired Jeff Peters as their Director of Sustainability and New Ventures. Peters comes to the company from Syngenta, where he previously served as Digital Farming Technical Manager.
“We look forward to working with Agrible and Jeff in helping farmers achieve continuous improvement,” said Rod Snyder, President of Field to Market. “Their enthusiasm and shared commitment to advancing the sustainability of U.S. agriculture is a welcome addition to Field to Market.”
