The American Soybean Association (ASA) is searching for several outstanding grower leaders for the 2017 ASA award and recognition program, and are seeking nominations for specific growers who go above and beyond for the soybean industry and amplify truly outstanding leadership. Three major awards and recognitions will be presented to these outstanding producers at the ASA Awards Banquet during the 2017 Commodity Classic in San Antonio, Texas.
ASA is seeking nominations for the following awards:
Lifetime Achievement Award – Association focus, which is designed to honor individuals who have a lifelong reputation for showcasing exemplary leadership through unselfish dedication to ASA and the soybean industry. Eligible nominees must be involved in soybean farming and/or soybean association related functions. Current members of the ASA Board of Directors are not eligible for this award, and former ASA Board of Directors must be off the ASA Board for at least three years to be eligible.
Lifetime Achievement Award – Membership focus, which is designed to recognize an ongoing, sustained devotion and commitment to strengthening ASA membership made evident through avid recruitment efforts, board involvement, or state affiliation. Current members of the ASA Board of Directors are also not eligible for this award, and former ASA Board of Directors must also be off the ASA Board for at least three years to be eligible.
Special Meritorious Service Award, which is awarded to an individual who has served the soybean industry above and beyond the ordinary, and has devoted a major portion of their life to the soybean industry in any field.
ASA is looking to industry for eligible nominees, and will accept online nominations through Friday, Nov. 11, 2016. All submissions must be online.
