Featuring the Microsoft Windows 10 Professional operating system, the Trimble Kenai rugged tablet is a fully-functional field computer with a 1.46GHz Intel Atom dual-core processor, standard 4GB of memory, and 64GB solid state drive, upgradeable to 256GB of solid state drive for extra storage. The battery is hot swappable to provide hours of uninterrupted run-time, ideal for long days in the field. If industrial and manufacturing machine connectivity is needed, the Kenai tablet also includes an integrated RS-232 serial port.

The Kenai tablet computer meets MIL-STD-810G military standards for drops, vibration and humidity; with an IP65 rating, it is protected against dust and water.
