ag-data-transparentThe MyAgData reporting service from Independent Data Management (IDM) has earned the first Ag Data Transparent certification.  The Ag Data Transparency Evaluator was created by a coalition of farm organizations, commodity groups and agriculture technology providers and uses 10 questions to help growers understand who has control over data created on their farm.  The questions verify the contracts and privacy policies of the participating company.

MyAgData is an acreage reporting service which allows a grower to report and verify acreage for USDA program participation. It can also be utilized by crop insurance agents to satisfy insurance obligations and FSA program participation.

In addition to the Ag Data Transparency seal, benefits of MyAgData include: convenient, 24/7 cloud-based efficiency; auditory compliance; and reasonable, seasonal rates.

“At IDM we strongly believe that growers should have a thorough understanding of the manner in which their field data will be used,” said Deb Casurella, President and General Manager of IDM. “We are proud to be the first precision ag company to receive the Ag Data Transparent seal and intend to continue our honest approach to the use of a grower’s data through our MyAgData application.”
