SLANTRANGE Produces More Efficient Sensors, Analytics

Slantrange-black1SLANTRANGE is a pioneer of smarter solutions to aerial remote sensing and analytics for precision agriculture.  In their attempts to offer new layers of information and provide more control and predictability for agricultural land, the company has produced two new sensors.  The SL2i and SL2p, combined with a new version of SLANTVIEW, the data analytics software, have a total of four patents pending that will more than double the resolution, data collection rate and processing efficiency compared to the previous generation.

Customers will now be able to cover twice as much area during a flight with four times as much conventional multispectral mapping techniques.

“We work closely with our customers to understand the problems they are facing on the ground,” said Mike Ritter, CEO of SLANTRANGE. “One of the biggest concerns we hear is the race against the clock. Drone battery life limits flight time and affects how efficiently farmers can collect data. We have optimized our new products to maximize the area that can be imaged within a flight to help farmers gain more insights faster, and at a lower cost.”

The new software can process a 160 acres field– typically in less than five minutes.  New data offerings include plant population counts, yield potential and canopy closure.  A new interface means customers can easily access data and streamline workflow for their own needs.  Two versions of sensors are available to producers; the SL2i is suggested for entry-level users while the SL2p offers options for more advanced users.
